The G-10 Nemesis is a G.U.A.R.D.I.A.N. standard-issue assault rifle in Mass Effect: G.U.A.R.D.I.A.N.. It is manufactured by Kassa Fabrication in 2184 and entered limited field testing in 2185. Dr. Velsa Jazzo made it a standard-issue G.U.A.R.D.I.A.N. Assault Rifle in 2187.
The M-10 Nemesis was designed to be the next-generation infantry service weapon for the Systems Alliance, increasing the force multiplier factor of the individual soldier more than if provided with the Alliance’s current issue M-8 Avenger.
The M-10 offers a slower rate of fire for improved, longer ranged marksmanship and enhanced heat-sink endurance round for round compared to the M-8. Advanced optics gives the soldier increased range and accuracy dependability to that of a rapid fire sniper rifle whilst retaining the ability to provide effective suppression on targets when the need is required. The M-10 also comes with a removable grenade launcher based off of the M-37 Falcon Assault Rifle. Utilizing the same miniature manufacturing and fabrication processes, the launcher is able to fabricate a single, 20mm grenade quickly and primed for firing, and able to keep a sustained firing rate of just shy of twenty rounds per minute. When constructed, the 20mm rounds possess a lethal blast radius of a meter and a half, and are designed to weaken or remove kinetic barriers quickly.
While seeking to mass manufacture a series of standard-issue weapons for G.U.A.R.D.I.A.N, Dr. Velsa Jazzo appropriated the design for the M-10 Nemesis from Kassa Fabrication and changed its designation to be the G-10 Nemesis. It is now mass produced in the GSV Arcadia and readily sent out for operatives to use along with several other weapons.
